Domus Balthasar Design Hotel is a unique small design hotel located on beautiful spot of the Royal Route in Prague (Praha Kralovska cesta) – at the Charles Bridge (Karluv most) and close to Prague Castle (Prazsky hrad).
This design hotel in Prague inhabits a house on medieval foundations with chequered history. We have reconstructed it with maximum respect to historical detail and spirit of the place and equipped it with todays design and technology.

Accommodation in Prague hotel Balthasar - history
- Originally, the house was a part of an archbishop's palace. The palace was separated in 1447 and the ground became independent sometimes before 1466.
- On a medieval suterain a purely baroque house was built in 1721, called House At a Dark Blackamoor.
- Todays appearance of the house is a consequence of a late baroque reconstruction from times before 1792.
Residence Domus Balthasar was opened after a thorough, yet sensitive reconstruction in September 2003.

Prague airport Ruzyne is located cca 10 km from the center. The taxi ride to the hotel should cost about 600 CZK. You also can take local bus 119 or Cedaz Express Airport bus to Dejvicka A line Metro station and take a taxi for much shorter distance.
From A line Metro station Malostranska take tram No.22 to Malostranske namesti for Domus Balthasar (100m to the hotel) or the same No.22 tram direction Prague Castle to Pohorelec for Domus Henrici. (200 to the hotel) We recommend to order our pickup service together with your booking. - Train
